brailletec arc. braille printer. 1998

Conventional braille printers stamp the braille into the paper in a noise-intensive process. Arc is a printer which prints tactile braille characters by means of wax stream technology. The device has been designed in such a way that it can be operated by blind users simply and self-evidently. The reduced form makes it manageable in every sense of the word. The control elements and the paper feed and maintenance areas are clearly defined. User-friendliness was tested in comprehensive ergonomic studies.
